Bolaji Sakin has spoken with high hopes that Rivers United can go all the way to the Caf Champions League final.
The Rivers State outfit emerge 2016 champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) despite tough opposition from Enugu Rangers, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Wikki Tourist.
Sakin, who joined Rivers United from Abia Warriors, noted that the Pride of Rivers have what it takes to go far in the Caf champions League.
"We are Super 4 champions!," Sakin told Goal.
"We have a very good squad and the understanding is improving by the day. We shall leave for Spain on Monday to continue with our preseason plans and hopefully we would be battle ready for both domestic league and the Caf Champions League.
" With the bond in the team, the believe and the strong will to be champions which we have achieved today, i am confident that we can go all the way to the Caf Champions League final.
Rivers United lost 2-0 to Enugu Rangers but bounced back with a 2-0 win over Ifeanyi Ubah and a 1-0 over Wikki Tourist on the last to emerge champions of the 2016 NPFL Super 4
