Arsenal need to 'break the bank' to keep Ozil and Sanchez - Seaman

The former Gunners goalkeeper has urged Arsene Wenger to do everything he can to keep the high profile duo at the club in order to challenge for the title
David Seaman insists that Arsenal must 'break the bank' to keep Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez at the London club.
Seaman, who won three league titles during 13 seasons at Arsenal, believes that Arsene Wenger would send out the wrong message to other teams if he does not do everything he can to keep the duo                                                                                                                                                               Arsenal need to 'break the bank' to keep Ozil and Sanchez - SeamanBoth players have just 18 months left on their existing deals with the Gunners and have been heavily linked with moves away from the club.
Seaman also thinks that Wenger needs to keep Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the club, and do 'whatever it takes' to agree new contracts with the trio.
“They need to break the bank to keep both of them, well all three of them,” Seaman told talkSport. “What sort of signal is that going to send to fans and other teams? Is it ‘oh yeah we are not interested in winning the league but financially we are fantastic’?
“The fans are not interested in the financial side, they want to see the best players playing for Arsenal"Whatever it takes, Arsenal should do to keep especially Ozil, Sanchez and the Ox as well – these are quality players.
“We used to be a team that would sell our best players. I thought we had gone past that and now the test is what sort of team are we now.
“Are we a team that lets its best players go or can we still afford to keep them?”                                           Despite the contract distraction, Seaman feels that Arsenal are playing a better style of football this year, thanks to the strength in depth that Wenger has at the club.
“I see a little bit more confidence in the players," the 53-year-old continued.
“The players they signed have come in and done really well, the squad for me is stronger. Now when you look at the bench it’s strong as well.
“Even though we’ve got injuries, not too many, the bench is still strong and that is the main difference.”
