Cristiano Ronaldo hits his 500th club career goal, but just how did Real Madrid star reach the incredible landmark, and who is his favourite team to play against?

Cristiano Ronaldo hit the incredible milestone of his 500th club goal on Wednesday as he grabbed the second goal for Real Madrid in a 2-0 win over Club America at the FIFA Club World Cup.
As well as helping his side reach the final of the competition in Japan, the 31-year-old atoned for an appalling miss earlier in the match as he finally hit the career landmark.
It adds to a phenomenal week for the Portugal international, who was named winner of the 2016 Ballon d’Or on Monday.Ronaldo celebrates at the International Stadium Yokohama after putting Real Madrid 2-0 upCristiano Ronaldo slips the ball home for his 500th club career goal against Club AmericaThe strike against the Mexican side was the 377th for Real Madrid, adding to the 118 he scored for Manchester United and the five he scored for Sporting.

Those figures must have seemed a distant dream to the young winger who struggled in front of goal during his first few season as a professional, scoring just 12 times in a three year period between 2002 and 2004.
As far as opponents are concerned, Sevilla is Ronaldo’s favourite opponent, netting 22 times in just 15 appearances against the Andalusia outfit, while he has scored 20 in 12 against Getafe
