Loris Karius dropped for Liverpool's clash against Middlesbrough as Simon Mignolet steps in to replace the under-fire goalkeeper

Loris Karius has been dropped by manager Jurgen Klopp for Liverpool's game against Middlesbrough at the Riverside stadium.
The German goalkeeper has been under fire of late after a string of high-profile errors, culminating in him conceding a soft free-kick during the Reds' 2-2 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Now Klopp has acted swiftly to replace him with Simon Mignolet, who hasn't featured in the league since Liverpool's 2-1 defeat against Chelsea on September 16.

The 23-year-old, who was a summer arrival from Mainz in a deal worth around £5million, replaced Mignolet after the Belgian struggled in goal at the start of the season.
However Karius hasn't been able to improve the standard of Liverpool's goalkeeping and has found himself at the centre of a media storm over the past two weeks.
