The Germany international set up his side's opener before rounding off a sound display with their final goal in a simple victory over the Latics
Bastian Schweinsteiger was among the goals as Manchester United picked up a comfortable 4-0 win over Wigan on Sunday to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Germany international scored one and set up another, while Marouane Fellaini, Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were also on target for the Red Devils, with Anthony Martial getting two assists.
Fellaini had United in the lead when he got on the end of a Schweinsteiger ball to head in at the stroke of half time.
The second goal came from an unlikely source in Smalling, who was well picked out by Martial to send a header into the net.
Later on, Martial set up Mkhitaryan for a simple finish before Schweinsteiger scored with his back to goal to round off the game.
