UEFA rules threaten to disqualify RB Leipzig or Red Bull Salzburg from Champions League

Rules surrounding the participation of two clubs controlled by one organisation could mean one of the RB clubs could be removed from the competition
UEFA will only allow one of Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig to compete in either the Champions League or the Europa League next season, according to a report from Salzburger Nachrichten.
UEFA rules threaten to disqualify RB Leipzig or Red Bull Salzburg from Champions League
Rules state no two clubs controlled by the same sponsor, organisation or person may play simultaneously in European competition.
RB Leipzig's spectacular rise to the Bundesliga has been met with disdain from rival clubs, with many protesting the club's success, having been founded in 2009 as a marketing arm for energy drink giants Red Bull.
Ralph Hasenhüttl's side continue to battle with Bayern to be crowned German champions this season, however, and now look certain to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Red Bull Salzburg will also qualify for the competition should they retain their Austrian Bundesliga crown, though one of the two may be forced to miss out due to UEFA regulations.
