In contrast, the Swans are now four points clear of trouble in 15th following another productive afternoon at the Liberty Stadium.
Alfie Mawson fired them in front on Sunday in spectacular style, as he crashed home a stunning volley from 12 yards out in the 36th minute.
Martin Olsson doubled that advantage in first-half stoppage-time as he raced into the box and drilled past Kasper Schmeichel at his near post.
